H & J got married at St Leonard’s church, Wallingford on a gorgeous August day. Their whole day was relaxed and family orientated with their young nieces and flower girls taking centre stage.
After the ceremony, the couple jumped in the back of a vintage VW Camper and zoomed to their stunning reception venue, Brightwell Vineyard. Brightwell Vineyard adjoins the south side of the River Thames, 1 mile north of the historic town of Wallingford and 8 miles south of the city of Oxford. The vineyard is sheltered by the surrounding hills of the Chilterns, North Downs and Cotswolds making it one of the warmest and driest areas of the UK in summer – perfect for both growing grape vines and celebrating weddings.
Whilst the region does offer brilliant weather, we are still in England. And an indoor/outdoor wedding in the UK wouldn’t be complete without a spot of rain. But this didn’t stop the happy couple exploring the grounds and getting some beautiful and fun couple shots. If you’re planning a wedding in the UK with elements taking place outside, I cannot recommend buying some wedding umbrellas just in case.
