Apres Ski Wedding at Lains Barn | Oxfordshire Wedding Photographer

M & A tied the knot at Lains Barn this February. Lains Barn is a beautifully restored, family-run venue with a quintessentially rural setting, in the heart of Oxfordshire. Dating back to 1750, the barn originally had its roots in agriculture. Now a days, there are no animals. Just happy couples beginning their love stories beneath the beautiful timber-vaulted roof.

M arrived with the bridal party in beautiful black and white Landrover Defenders supplied by Landrover Wedding and Defender Camper Hire, a brilliant country wedding addition. The ceremony was pure joy, neither M or A stopped smiling throughout and you could feel the happiness and excitement in the room.

Front and centre of the day was the couples love of their dogs and skiing, both featured heavily in all the beautiful small details throughout the day as well as noted in all the speeches. Remus and Ron, their beautiful fur babies even popped by in their best bow ties for a photograph with the happy couple. Their wedding cake was topped with handmade figures of pooches.

The apres ski theme was key to their special day. A proposed on the ski slopes in Sunshine village, Banff, Canada and it’s where the couple set off on their honeymoon after the wedding. All the details were lovingly handmade by M herself and all the guests and event staff commented on how beautiful it all was. It was clear how much love and energy had gone into creating everything. Including handmade bunting of all the locations special to the couple; their favourite mountains, their little cottage and special walks they go on with the dogs. Each table was named after a mountain they enjoying skiing on and they even had a ski themes photobooth and shot ski for guests in the evening.

After cutting the cake and a fun first dance, the couple danced the night away with their guests. The remote location of Lains Barn allows for the party to go on late into the night. They have no noise restrictions and can offer an extended licence until 1 or 2am for those party animals who want their celebration to last as long as possible.

To fuel the drinking and dancing all night, M & A organised for guests to have freshly baked Neapolitan style pizza booked in the wood fire oven on site. It was a perfect addition to what was a beautiful love and food filled day.
