Berkshire Marquee Wedding

Every wedding tells a unique story, and Zoe and Lucas’s Berkshire Marquee Wedding was a beautiful blend of love, tradition, and joyous celebration. As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the magic from beginning to end, and what a journey it was!

The day began in the heart of Zoe’s childhood – her family home. Nestled in a quaint village, the house was alive with excitement and anticipation. Zoe’s bridal party buzzed around, helping with last-minute preparations, while Zoe herself was a vision of grace and calm.

With her Dad by her side and her bridal party in tow, Zoe began the picturesque walk through the village to the church. The path was lined with well-wishers, flowers in full bloom, and the charming backdrop of the village added a fairy-tale quality to the procession.

The village church, with beautiful stained glass, was the perfect venue for Zoe and Lucas’s heartfelt ceremony. Lucas waited at the altar, his face lighting up the moment he saw Zoe walk down the aisle. Capturing the exchange of loving glances and the smiles that spoke volumes was a joy. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and personal touches.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a peaceful walk through the village to their reception on the local cricket pitch. The cricket pitch had been transformed into a stunning reception venue, complete with a marquee decorated in Greek-inspired decor.

The reception featured a Greek menu that delighted the guests. Tables were laden with an array of delicious dishes – from succulent lamb to vibrant salads. The flavours created by Jo at The Merry Kitchen transported everyone to the sunny shores of Greece, making the meal an unforgettable part of the celebration.

As the evening set in, the festivities continued with heartfelt speeches, toasts, and laughter. And a sneaky trip up to hill to capture the soft evening light for some couple portraits.

Zoe and Lucas chose “Zorba the Greek” for their first dance, a choice that perfectly encapsulated the joyous spirit of the day. Their dance started slow, building up to a lively, infectious rhythm that soon had everyone up on their feet. The dance floor was filled with guests joining in the traditional Greek dance, and the laughter and joy were contagious.

Photographing Zoe and Lucas’s wedding was an honour. From the quiet, intimate moments to the lively celebrations, every part of the day was filled with love, joy, and a sense of community. The Greek-inspired decor and menu added a unique and personal touch to the festivities, making it a day to remember for everyone involved.
