If you’re a houseplant addict like me, then there really is nowhere better to visit than the Burford Garden Company. They describe themselves as ‘a creative destination store for those seeking high quality plants and trees, garden furniture and accessories’. And isn’t that the truth, but it’s more than just a shopping experience. It’s a magical experience where you can slowly journey through areas covering wellness, lifestyle, horticulture and even delicious food.
The warm and welcoming Glasshouse Café at Burford Garden Co. is a must when you visit. It’s a beautiful, relaxing space filled with vintage furniture and houseplants galore.
The menu caters for a wide range of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. You can choose from Deli salads, hot meals or a light lunch sandwhich option. We went for the Moroccan Spiced Chicken with lightly Pickled Red Cabbage, Squash and Chipotle Mayonnaise, served in a Brioche Bun. I can confirm, it was delicious!
If you’ve got little ones, make sure you stop off at ‘Little Burford’. A beautiful corner of Burford Garden Co. designed specifically with children in mind. They stock a range of stunning childrens brands such as Liewood, Fair Moms and Novita Home. And let’s not forget Jellycat, if you’re a bit of a Jellycat collector like us you’ll be in heaven.
After some lunch and a visit to Little Burford, there was just time for one more little mooch around the houseplants on the way to the tills and exit. We definitely left with a few new plant friends to join our jungles at home!
